2 WHY DOES EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY PROCESS MY DATA?

EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY processes Users’ personal data on the basis of and in connection with the concluded contract for the provision of services electronically. The purpose of the processing of personal data is to provide Users with requested services and the performance of the contract for the provision of services electronically.

Personal data need to be provided in order to enter into the contract for the provision of services electronically. Failure to provide personal data will prevent EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY from performance of services.

EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY also uses electronic communication tools, such as email, to inform Users about new functionalities of the elearning.empirecybersecurity.co.mz or provide other information that may be of interest to Users. This activity is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY has assessed the impact of this activity on Users’ privacy and, having considered Users’ interests, has come to the conclusion that it will not have a negative impact on Users’ privacy. The purpose of such use of the personal data brings significant benefits to Users, enabling them to follow news and changes regarding their topics of interest. 3 CONSENT

With Users’ consent, EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY processes personal data to profile Users and for the marketing communication purposes. Consent to these activities is voluntary and does not affect the possibility of entering into the contract for the provision of services electronically. If we ask for your personal information for a reason (i.e. newsletter subscription and marketing messages), we will ask you directly for your expressed consent and provide you with an opportunity to withdraw your consent. 4 SOCIAL NETWORKS

We process Personal data of Users that visit its social media profiles (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google+). These data are processed only in the scope connected with running the Empire Cybersecurity profile in these social media, including informing Users about Our activity and promoting various types of events, services and products. The legal basis for the processing of personal data for this purpose is the Our legitimate interest in promoting its own brand.

5 COOKIES

Elearning.empirecybersecurity.co.mz utilizes cookies to create a more customized experience for our users and customers. We also use tracking pixels (i.e. Google Analytics) to aid in measuring and tracking where our website traffic is coming from and to track the performance of our site. 6 WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR DATA?

When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system so we can better improve the experience for all our users. Email marketing: With your consent, we may send you emails about new products, free and premium content (i.e. blog posts, YouTube videos, reports/whitepapers, etc.), and special events.

7 HOW DOES EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY PROTECT MY PERSONAL DATA?

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of Users’ personal data. These measures include, among other things, access control to personal data, control of the processing of personal data, personal data anonymization. The access to personal data is only granted to authorized EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY employees who are obliged to keep the confidentiality of the personal data. Furthermore, EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY has implemented an appropriate data protection policy.

8 WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE?

You have the following rights:

  • the right to access data content and requests rectification of data,
  • the right to erase data,
  • the right to restrict
  • processing of data,
  • the right to transfer data,
  • the right to object to data processing, and
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for dealing with the protection of personal data.

9 RIGHT TO OBJECT

This processing is conducted on the basis of the legitimate interest of Empire Cybersecurity e-Learning. You also have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time for any reasons related to your particular situation.

10 DOES EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY TRANSFER PERSONAL DATA TO OTHER ENTITIES?

As a general rule, EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY does not transfer personal data to other entities, including companies. An exception to this rule may include:

  • transfer of personal data at the request of a competent authority (police, public prosecutor’s office, courts, etc.),
  • provision of personal data to entities that carry out marketing communication with User’s consent.

Furthermore, the data collected by EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY may be accessed by external companies providing such services to EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY as hosting, server maintenance and database maintenance, as well as other digital services providers in order to i.e. issue courses certificates. These entities are recipients of the data, being the processors (according to GDPR) acting on behalf of and on instructions from EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY. EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY ensures that these entities store data within the European Union or, if stored outside the European Union, that the data are adequately secured.

In the case of paid services, the personal data related to payments are transferred to the payment service provider. EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY does not have the access to the personal data provided to the payment service provider. This applies in particular to credit card data.

EMPIRE CYBERSECURITY also transfers anonymized cookies and other anonymized data to third parties regarding website Users. These data do not permit to decrypt the activity of a particular User on the Website, but they enable to determine Users’ geographic, statistical and demographic data. The purpose of provision of such data is to customize advertisements and other similar messages directed at Users.

11 HOW LONG MY DATA WILL BE PROCESSED?

We will continue to store your personal data as long as you use our services or until you withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data which you have provided Us. Processing of Your personal data is necessary for the correct provision of services by Us (i.e. webinars, trainings), as well as for marketing purposes. We will stop processing your Personal data if You won’t use our services or withdraw your consent to the processing. We will either delete your Personal data or anonymize them, with the reservation that some of the data (name, e-mail address, history of services provided to You and information about consents granted) will continue to be processed during subsequent 3 years to establish, exercise or defend Us against any possible claims.

If you use any function of Our Site without being logged in, we will process your Personal data during the period in which your device stores cookies, user agents, and data on the website’s tabs and information you have displayed.
